Our Mission & Values

We foster an appreciation of invertebrates by educating the public about the need to protect and care for threatened habitats globally, while conducting research for solutions in invertebrate conservation.

Education

Engaging exhibits and programs spark the inner scientist in every visitor — from school field trips to adult workshops and seasonal camps.

Conservation

We protect invertebrate biodiversity through habitat restoration, global partnerships, and real-world solutions for pollinator decline.

Research

Our scientific team advances invertebrate knowledge through field research, peer-reviewed publications, and collaboration with universities and zoos worldwide.

Community

As a Colorado 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we are governed by a Board of Directors and guided by scientific advisors from leading zoos, universities, and museums.

A Bold New Future in Westminster

Celebrating 30 years of impact, Butterfly Pavilion and the City of Westminster have signed a Letter of Intent to jointly pursue the phased renovation and expansion of our facility at 104th Avenue — a transformative effort that will establish Westminster as a global hub for invertebrate research, conservation, education, and immersive nature-based experiences for generations to come.
